Headlight suggestions

Somehow the lens has disappeared on one of my headlights. I want to replace them with 1 piece lights.

I have read tons of reviews and can't seem to find aftermarket ones that are of any quality, fit right or aim right. Any suggestions for a good brand?

I had considered Halo's... After reading reviews and looking at tons of pictures I decided against it.

I think I'm one of the only ones who thinks the 1 piece lights don't look right. Something about them... I dunno. I vote either Cobra replacements or smoked Cobra replacements with amber corners. Clear corners=rice.

I am seriously considering smoked ones, only if I can find a set that I can put HID's in. Anyone have a pic of their white Cobra with them in. I think I would like to smoke some OEM replacements. IMO the one piece look clean, but people seem to have problems adjusting them.

Sorry your link didn't work right away.... The reviews on these are far better than most. This may be an option.

Don't do the cheap looking hid route. Just ruin a good car.

Are you saying that all HID's ruin the car? My reason behind getting HID's are people complain that with Smoked or Black lights that driving at night is a problem unless you use HID.

Just about every car show I go to is 2+ hrs away. I do a ton of night driving.

Those look sweet!

Also. I've never liked the side exhaust... But it really makes the car look good here.

Is this your ride?

No, this is mine.

Also highly recommend to anyone to do the Envoy fogs like so

Makes the Cobra fog setup look a bazillion times better than the Ford units.

You are right on that. Tonight when I was driving back to my college campus it was dark out, it was tight twisty roads with absolutely no lighting, and I have tinted headlights. I was going 10-15 under the speed limit because I couldn't see ****.

imo yes they ruin them. You get scattered blinding light. 90% of my driving is in the dark and i've never had an issue seeing where i'm going.

I know they make brighter OE bulbs... What kind do you run? If I don't have to go HID I won't. I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.

Silver stars. My car came with HIDs already in it and I'm about to yank them and go back to regular lights. I never had a single issue with them in my cobra and my hi beams actually functioned.

Visibility is great being they are clear lenses its as if nothing was there as for the bulb brand I am not sure off hand they came with the bulbs as part if the package with the option to also upgrade them. The ones that came with it where pretty bright so he hasn't bothered buying new ones yet.

I actually like these a lot. First one piece headlight I've seen I really like, probably because the black borders create separation between the main headlight and the side marker.

I'm also going to trace all the wiring in these HIDs I have from the PO and make sure he didn't hack up the stock harness so I can just get a set of silverstars, properly adjust the headlights and go. Like I said I NEVER had an issue with the Silverstars in my 95 Cobra. I lived on a backroad at the time too with no streetlights and those things lit everything up just fine.

If you can swing it, try the SilverStar zXe bulbs, you'll like 'em.

Money is not the issue, I just need to make sure that the wiring is still intact, I've actually never super inspected it. I think my first order of business is to re-adjust the headlights and see if that helps at ALL but I really really hate not having good high beams. Although with as bright as these HIDs are I probably would not need them if I can get the beams to focus a little better.

Got a bunch of other little stuff I need to do to this thing maintenance wise like a new quadrant, freeplay kit, fix the left door sag etc... Then I'll mess with the headlights and then its my DD unless it is pouring *** rain out or snowing/ice or there is salt all over the roads. Much of which will be happening soon I'm afraid...
