Are the 2001 cobras good?

I have an opportunity to trade my 2004 gt for a less attractive 2001 cobra. I am not sure if it would be a good trade for me.
I am planning to build my mustang within 3 years in to a turbo mustang. Would the 4v be better than my 2v?

Not really. The 4v will let loose around 450.

I would say go for it...parts are about the same price for either motor and there are a lot of things to do to each car. I'd say if you plan on staying NA I'd stick with the 2v but if you do plan on boosting, go 4v

What exactly do you mean by "less attractive"?

The 2v is very underestimated. However the 4v is a better platform to build from. How many miles on each? More info on both cars. If both are in similar shape and depending on the price you can get on top of the trade you could be better off with the 4v. Depends...

Also depends in mods already on both cars. If you already dumped a lot if money into yours idk it's a toss up

Looks like you've put a good chunk of money into yours already. Plus yours has less mileage, if I were you I'd keep yours and just keep modding that one.

It'd totally be worth it if yours was higher mileage, and the cobra was way lower mileage but you sound like you've got your car to pretty much where you want it. I don't think it's worth starting over. I've got the same issue you have. I drool when i see "Cobra"

Pics of the snake. Could be totally worth it if its in very good shape. 25k miles more is not THAT much and the Cobra has the IRS and the 4V plus its a numbered car.

However, if someone with a Cobra wanted to trade with me for my GT, I would be HIGHLY suspicious as to why they would be downgrading from the 4V.

No problem. I agree with you though.. I've put a decent amount into mine but I definitely wouldn't turn down an 03/04 Termi.. One of my dream cars

I have a 1999 cobra and I love it. The 4v sounds a little deeper to me. But all in all I wouldn't ever give it up. But like they were saying, if the cobra had less miles then heck go for it. But also 25,000 miles more isn't much. The modular engines are practically bullet proof. But it all comes down to what you want to do! I personally love the cobra. But that's just me!
