Fastest quatermile time? Just curious

What's everyone's fastest quarter mile time? Just out of curiosity! My fastest time was 12.8 in the quarter. Cold weather and I'm right at sea level. Running on 315s for the run. Not bad for 305 wheel horses!

**** I'm jealous. I got a 15.0 at 92mph out of mine when it was stock and haven't gotten anything better after 2 years of modifications. All I can say is elevation is a *****

Oh yeah. Living in savannah ga has it advantages. Haha. Car runs great here! And new gears will help a lot. I have 4.30s in mine. Get some 4.10s!

Yeah I have 3.55s in it now. I'm planning on 4.10s when I can get the money. Hopefully they don't jack up my straight line speeds on the road course.

They shouldn't. My 4.30s did 152 mph at red line. So I think you'd be fine. You'll have a lot more pick up on it. That's for sure

The only issue is I've still got the anemic 2V top end. I'm currently topping out 4th on the back straight at 115ish mph so I don't know how much the car is gonna like hitting 5th

With 4.10s I think it would be fine. We had a gt (before I could drive) with 4.10s and it seemed to do fine!

Yeah either way it should be fine, I'm just extremely curious as to how much of a difference they will do

A pretty big difference. Especially your acceleration. It'll for sure throw you back in the seat a lot more

Ahhhh. I guess that's the whole 4v vs 2v thing. I've never paid attention. But that's not the end of the world! Any 4.6 sounds amazing

Haha the 4V is just better in every single way. That's why you can get away with 4.30s

Oh yeah. The only issue I have is to get my rear diff out. Haha. Everything comes apart. It's a huge pain. But otherwise I love it

Yeahh that's true. That's the one thing I'm not looking forward to doing when I get my gears.

Is your gt converted to irs? Or is it the sra? If it's the sra it's a heck of a lot easier!

Ahhh. Yeah that'll be so fun. Lol. Gotta take the axels apart and everything. Lol. I have an 03-04 rear end laying in my garage. Just in case my rear end breaks. Haha. But I paid someone to take my rear diff out. To difficult and time consuming to do in my little garage. My pinion bearing failed and it actually melted my gears. It was ugly. Sad day for the cobra. But it's fixed and running strong!

That's ridiculous! I've never seen that before. I'm still trying to decide if I should do it myself or not. I have the tools to do it, I just don't know of I want to take on the headache of installing them.

The hardest part is getting the gears in properly. Having them mesh right and all the bearings correctly. That's the worst part. And I don't have the time or patience for that. Ha
