Planning on buying new cobra..

What's up guys I found this 96 cobra with 68k on the body and a complete 03 termi swap, Engine transmission interior and suspension. Car looks good but he says it has a lifter noise common with 03 termi's and no radio. I'm not too concerned about the radio but I'm not familiar with this lifter noise, is it bad enough for me not to get the car and what should I look for to make sure I'm not screwing myself on this one. I've only owned sn95's and know close to nothing about terminators so any input would help. Thanks.

Google the head tick. 03 Cobras had an issue with the passenger side rear of the head but I can't remember exactly what the problem is.

It was a coolant flow issue creating hot spot related issues

The tick seems to be an ongoing problem cause my 97 cobra has a slight tick when I don't warm her up. I havnt read anything on the coolant flow issue but this is enough to steer me away lol. Thanks guys!

I would drop the car off for one day at your local Mustang shop. They will advise you best. If all is in good working order, it would be a great car to own, for sure!
