Might be getting a cobra tomorrow

Ok guys so I'm gonna be driving down from Virginia to North Carolina to see a 04 cobra at a dealership. So I was wondering if you guys have any advice for what to look for and how to deal with dealerships. Any input will help please.

I doubt they'll move much but if its super clean i'd pay 16.5. Ask if the car comes with a tuner. With the pulley it has to have a tune. No tuner subtract $500 for tuner and dyno time. Check for diff brace on irs, if it's not there take another $250 off.

Also, if 3rd brake light is cracked subtract $300. Those suckers aren't cheap.

I saw this car on line. I'm in florida, otherwise I would be checking it out too. Btw tjey had two other Cobras too, and they were way less miles, but in the low 20's for price.

Yea I drove 4 hours to see it, I drove all 3 cobras because the one that I was looking at was shifting weird so I compared it to the other 2 .. I decided to skip on that one it didn't seem to be shifting right

Be glad you passed on that one. That cobra looked pretty beat up. The pics aren't high quality, but It looked like the paint was a 6/10. And the interior had some tears and looked well worn. That alone, I wouldn't pay that price for it. Judging by you saying it had sloppy shifting, the previous owner probably beat it to hell.

Good choice although a brand new 2014 V6 is not exactly a terrible car to have plus its surprisingly economical even with mods. I think more and more ppl are going to be getting into Coyotes as time goes on, myself included. All the plans for my 98... added up the cost of doing it all plus what I could get for selling my 98 and it comes to almost the purchase price of a low mileage 2011. Not a hard choice and this is likely the case for anyone with an older Mustang who wants to go fast.

Yea I agree I would have loved to own tht v6 but probably in a couple of months I would have refreshed not getting a v8.. So I thought I'm better off saving and developing my credit even more so I can get a better deal.
