If the car's been sitting for a while it wouldn't be a bad idea. I changed most of the fluids on my mach when I got it since it saw mucho garage time for the last 7 years.

How are the tires? Even lightly worn tires can dry rot if they've sat extensively.

Well thats good, saves you some coin. At the very least I'd do oil. With such low miles you shouldn't have to worry about the rear diff., trans fluid, or coolant.

Congrats on the termi BTW. They are truly badass cars, I hope to add one to the collection soon. Mods done or stock?

Provided the car doesn't become an all out drag car you shouldn't have to worry about trans fluid till at least 40-60k and even higher for rear.

Damn, I know it'd be hard but with such low miles and in stock form the car would hold decent value over time mainly because there aren't many bone stock ones out there anymore.

I don't know if I could do that..I think exhaust, intake, pulley and a tune would be great first mods. Relatively simple for the termis but could get you near the 500 rwhp mark.

Congratulations!
That is just pure AWESOMENESS!!!

The guy that owned it sounds like he took good care of the car.
Did you ask him for any maintenance records for the car? They are good to have so that you can see what maintenance has been done recently.
My opinion is that it's an 11 year old car that has been sitting for a good portion of it's life... So Yes! You should probably start replacing ALL of the fluids (Power steering, brake, transmission, differential, etc.) as you get the time.
It won't fall apart in the meantime so no huge rush...
Do the fuel filter also!

Let's see some pics!

2004 Termi

Did it come with the original owners manual? Info for fluid change should b in there. If not here is factory recs as follows... Cobra model should use synthetic 5w20, coolant every 30k or 2yrs (recommended by coolant manufacturers), air filter every 15k, fuel filter every 30k, tranny (auto) every 30k (manual) every 20k, rear diff 60-100k depending on how u drive and if u pull anything (like small trailer or jet ski type stuff), plugs- I would do every 2 yrs I recommend Boch platinum, have seen the best performance with those. I have been a mechanic for 15 yrs and this is the basics I follow for almost every vehicle...
