Quick dumb queshtion

Hey guys this morning I had to jump in my 96 cobra and jet its was 51 degrees out side and I did not let it warm up and I had to get on it for a emergency everything ran fine just wondering for the future what can go wrong doing this? I assume since nothing blew up everything is fine but I hate I had to to it.

Thanks in advance guys

That shouldn't present a problem. The whole secret is letting the oil circulate for a bit before revving up after startup (30-60 seconds). Once that has happened, the engine will warm up quick enough and you will be fine. I've seen people start their cars and instantly rev it up and take off. Not good. HTH.

ya did what you had to....my opinion is while it wasn't good it wasn't bad. If it normally ain't treated like that you should be fine.

You should be ok, but these motors don't like that kind of abuse all the time.. I usually shift at or near 3,000 till normal operating temp.. Then the fun comes!
