Gear swap

Going to swap out my stock gears in my 97 cobra to some 4.10s. Do I bet just the ring and pinion set or do I need the full gear kit? Btw I'm buying them and taking it to a shop to get put in.

Get the full kit. And make sure its a good shop. And it will only take them a few hours to do it so don't go paying $600 or something on top of the gear kit.

I think the fear kit is around 250 on American Muscle. What should I expect to pay for the installation

They SHOULD charge you 2-3 hours of shop time. Lots of places like to try to charge a LOT for gear changes though. I've been quoted up to $700 for just the install before. That's when you make sure to laugh in their face and walk out the door.

Yeah it'll be fine. IIRC that is what the AM kits ship with right? I've always used M1 myself but I've never bought one of the full kits from AM.
