replacing valve seals......

Almost done. Have one set of keepers to go. One cylinder #7, drivers side, valve closest to the bulkhead. With OHC tool in, its in a tight spot, with the spring compressed, think the shoulder of the tool is pressing against the wall of the head, which is, in turn, moving the spring over just enough to eat up keeper room. Was wondering if it'd be safe to remove just that cam cage on that portion of the head to alleviate to room/space. If so, what are the torque specs on those cam cage bolts? If not, do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what else I can do to get these keepers in? I'll be checking back in tomorrow afternoon, around noon or so. I look forward to what you guys have to share. So ready to be done with this.

I don't see the harm of removing a cap .. just make sure the camshaft does not move or timing doesn't jump somehow accidentally.. that'll be horrible.

Just hand torque it lol
