Meguiars Back to Black?

Anyone use it before...I was going to pick up a bottle for the trim on my F150 and the side scoop inserts on the stang.

Just wanted to know if it's worth the $6 and the drive to the store.

Re: Meguiars Back to Black?

I've used it before but I wouldn't make a special trip just for that, i'd wait until you're out somewhere close then get it. But it does work good.

Peanut butter. No bull****. Put it on my black trim on the Cobra. Now, the side vents....that might be a *****. Just rub it in like wax.

Re: Meguiars Back to Black?

Back to Black is good stuff. Just make sure you thoroughly rub it in or will look like smear marks all over your trim. It works great and you'll see a ton a dirt come off on your rag.

Re: Meguiars Back to Black?

I use it on my wifes H2 hummer all the time the only issue I ran across it your have to rub it in really good and may need more then one coat, also if you get it wet a coule of times you may get like tiger stripes on the area also.
but it does work really well otherwise.

Wow. I did mine a couple months ago, but it sits in the garage A LOT. Not much sun exposure really so I can't testify to how long it lasts in the sun. If you try it, let me know the results on how long it lasts.
I didn't believe it either until I did it, but it works.

Re: Meguiars Back to Black?

I will let you know for sure how long it last I am going to have my wife put it on this weekend since that is her daily driving car and we will see how long it will last.

I hate the H2 myself so I will not be putting anything on that thing I would be fine if I came home one day and it was gone. But the wife wont get rid it for anything at all not even the new porsche suv. Go figure

Sounds good. I was just told to rub it in like wax. Probably the same way you would use the back to black stuff. I used it on my Cobra, and that's my pride and joy.

Re: Meguiars Back to Black?

Thanks for the input...

That peanut butter trick sounds interesting...might have to try it on the truck for ****s and giggles first. The mustang doesn't need any aid, I've maintained the trim all its life, but the truck's previous owner didn't give a rat's *** about that sort of stuff, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with some TLC.

If you don't want to put peanut butter itself on there, just buy some peanut oil at the grocery store, thats what actually works from the peanut butter.

Good point, and that way I wouldn't be wasting any peanut butter, because peanut butter is a beautiful thing, and I'd hate to be wasting it.

I thought it was nasty, didn't taste good to me. But I would only use creamy because crunchy might scratch the paint??? maybe Idk?
