Re: front bumper clearcoat and color matching
Unless you're very experienced or a professional in painting, I'd leave the front bumper to the shop. Smaller things like chin spoilers and calipers aren't too bad for the average guy to paint, but larger pieces like hoods and bumpers need to be done right or else they look bad...and you can tell when the lines come together.
A good body shop will sand the bumper down, repaint, clearcoat and bake. Expect to pay 200-350 for a near factory match. Keep in mind this is just an estimate, it really depends on the shops in your area.
