Question DRI Wash'n Guard

Does or has anyone used this product by DWG International? What did you think of it? A co-worker of mine has started using it on his show car and says it's great. I look at it as being a little spendy but I hate the water spots I've been getting. Cost seems to be about $100 for a gal, spray bottle and some micro fiber rags. What's the consinses out there?

Re: DRI Wash'n Guard

Ive used it for over 12 years, love it, works great, best stuff ive used. I can go on and on and on and on. My main point is its GREAT for protection and cleaning. Keeps black chrome, windows, trim, paint, wheels, all in top shape and keeps it from fading. I hate using things that cant get on like trim or something without messing it up etc.

Its not abrasive but will remove very light scratches. I order it from dwgint.com directly~ I used to sign up once a year to be a dealer just to buy some~ but now you dont have to you can order right from them.

In between applications you can just use spray water (distilled) or meguiars quick detailer (better choice) with a 100% cotton terry towel to clean the car as I do. I dont wash my car with water... I dont have water spots EVER ha, have not washed with water in a VERY long time... I usually do it once a year just so I can wash/clean/protect the convertible top but thats the only reason its needed.

I use terry towels in 100% cotton to apply and a microfiber towel (good quality thick) to buff it off (works great on black chrome to really remove all the cleaner). If its a daily driver I would recommend doing it every other month if not every month. You can just tell when the paint needs it~ feeling of it. I put it on mine about 2-3 times a year since I dont drive it very often. I have no real scratches, swirl marks, nothing like that. I had a buy that was a professional detailer tell me how amazed he was at how clean my paint was when he was cleaning it for me with a quick buff before a show last year.

Every now and then (yearly if daily) I would break it down with dawn detergent, clay bar, rubbing compound/buff as needed to remove swirl marks then go back over it with DWG cleaner. I buy a 64oz bottle and it lasts me about two years... so you get your moneys worth. Dont leave the bottle pressurized else they get messed up.

What exact questions might you have? I will be happy to help and answer any questions you have. Everyone told me I was crazy to put it on a dirty car that I had to wash it first, everyone told me it was stupid and it didnt work... they are the ones who have worse looking cars now ask anyone thats seen my car about the condition its in for 58k miles. I also had a black car for 5 years previous to my current stang... and it kept it nice and clean as well... and thats the hardest color to keep up.
