Inexspensive mods on the way!

So I purchased a few things for my stang today..Can't wait for them to come in the mail. Just little things to make the exterior look better. I bought the trunk blackout panel and a new GT trunk emblem because mine has the black peeling off of it. I'm going to paint the chrome matte black tho.. and I bought some tint for my taillights and tint for my 3rd brake light..I'm excited to see the changes. Will post pics as soon as everything comes in!

Re: Inexspensive mods on the way!

I think you have sonic blue, it looks too light to be vista blue, but it is a picture tho sooo...

But it has to be one of those two colors

Re: Inexspensive mods on the way!

I mean my car is windveil blue, and look at the difference in color between ours. If your car is sonic blue the paint code shld be G9, and if its sonic blue the paint code should be SN.

Re: Inexspensive mods on the way!

plus the dealer made the paperwork, and probably just mislabeled it, or assumed that mustangs only came in one type of blue.

Re: Inexspensive mods on the way!

I love the blackout panels! My friend, Val, has them on her '05 GT and it looks awesome. Is the spray NiteShade? I had those on my tail lights before and it was super dark and translucent so you could see the brake lights fine. Congrats!

Thanks. No its an actual tint film that goes on them at 20%. It was fairly cheap so if it don't turn out it should be easy to remove. Yea I really like the blackout panels we shall see when it all gets here. Im excited

Re: Inexspensive mods on the way!

That could somewhat be true to a degree, but laguna secas were the version of the boss designed to beat the M3. Also with the laguna seca you get a lot of other extra supports and other things, it 100% track ready right off the lot. Plus with both bosses you get Recaro seats and other cool things. In my opinion I would either do that or wait till 2014 and buy that year mustang cuz it is supposed to be the lightest model mustang ever made, and there has been talk about it having an independent rear suspension. So that should take a few seconds off a track time and make it ride better on the road, and therefore all upper model mustangs will be better too. No offense against the ones now, I love them especially the Shelby GT500, just my two cents.

Ok so update! Im not very good with the DIY. Projects lol. The tint films that I bought for my taillights turned out horrible! They didn't fit etc. So im getting my money back on them. And my blackout panel was made crappy and im getting a refund on it as well lol. Sooo yea im going to buy the actual covers for my taillights and I.might pass on the panel.

Nothing as frustrating as buying mods and getting excited about it while you wait for days for them to arrive. Then when you get them... they don't work or don't fit correctly. Shoddy craftsmanship is probably the worst. Get excited for returning them! Usually if you complain enough they will give you a discount or a gift card (works with AM).

For your rear deck lid check out silver horse racing. Had one on my 05 and it is honeycombed looks good and good quality.
On my tai lights I had them painted but before that I had a honeycomb sticker overlay on them. It actually made them look darker and was super cheap.Something like this bit obviously for your yearhttp://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=370385217820&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=20202046202
