duster is a live savor on a black vehicle. Dust it EVERY day at least when you get home. If its left outside... then not sure cuz after one or two days the paint starts to get non slick and dirt wont dust off nearly as easy.
I dont wash my car with water due to I hate spots and you can not wash a black car without spots unless you go around the world twice and spend forever on it.
DWG International - Manufacturer of Dri Wash 'n Guard
is what I use, used it on my black car, white car, and now my red cobra~ in between applications of that I use meguiars exterior detailer and a terry towel to go over the car.
and technically if you have a black or dark car you REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need to filter that tap water to remove sediement and soften the water (140 bucks for the kit on autogeek.net) along with use a bucket with a grate in it to rib the rag on and keep any rocks etc down at the bottom so you dont pick them up when you get more water on the rag, you can even go as far as to use one or two clean buckets to rinse the rag in before you go back to the soap bucket. Its all a matter of how you want to go.
on a black car swirls are your enemy and you pretty much cant prevent them
lol you can only slow them down. Using GREAT towels is also key, 100% cotton, never washed with powder, and the edges are removed or are also 100% cotton. Cant really find those at auto stores fyi.. even if they say 100% cotton.
