Sequential turn signals

Ok guys...I'm calling a.m. in the morning to purchase sequential turn signals very stoked. My question is this, does anyone have them with tinted taillight covers? If so how well do they show up? Next question is, someone recommended that I replace the bulbs as well since my car has 40k on it.....and prolly have never been replaced. Should I replace the bulbs as well?

Re: Sequential turn signals

Replacing the bulbs with something brighter is always gonna help. If you use the same bulbs it will look exactly the same.

Re: Sequential turn signals

Brighter bulbs will help them show up better with the tinted taillight covers.

Re: Sequential turn signals

I like the aftermarket ones better than the ones that come stock on the 2010 and up. The factory ones don't do the sequential deal when the brake is applied, only on the turn signals.

+1
Had them on my 05 and loved them. I had painted tailights and you could see them fine. You'll be pleased.

Yea that's what I was reading. I like the ones on the new ones tho too. At least they come standard. The rest of us that don't have a new stang have to buy them lol. I am a huge fan of them tho! I can't wait to get them installed

Re: Sequential turn signals

You need to get the front and read side marker tints to match the wheels.

Ok never mind my hubby explained it to me. Haha. I haven't bought tinted for the taillights yet. Well I did but we just bought film and it didn't turn out good. I'm just gonna buy the covers. But now I'm hesitant about buying the covers with the sequentials

If you are talking about the GTS style covers I would say your better without. I had a set on my 91 and in my lil ole opinion they stink. If you don't have a problem with police or inspection get the lights painted or tinted. Looks waaaaaay better. Just my .02.

Re: Sequential turn signals

I wouldnt tint the rears but thats just me. The rear side markers and front turn signal/markers are easy as pie to tint and they (police) wont mess with you about them.

My state doesn't have inspection but yea I'm thinking Im not going to tint the rears. I have illegal tint. I've never been messed with. Of course I've only had the car since march and my husband is active army. We move every 3 years, so I could get moved to an inspection state.
