Smoked tails

I'm getting my tail lights professional smoked/painted, wondering what everyones opinion is on the reverse light. Should I smoke the whole light including the reverse, or leave the reverse clear?

Re: Smoked tails

ive seen sum black on black cars, and the un-smoked reverse light looked really good. it broke up the black just a tiny bit, it was a nice contrast.

Can you get a ticket for tail lights being too dark?

Mine shine through red too but they are hard asses in FL. Was pulled over too many times at $116 each. One cop called them stupid. Beware of FHP. I now have stocks in again.

See the difference. Sometimes look really dark and sometimes look red.

Has anyone ever bought professionally smoked/painted tails off of the Internet? Or does anyone know a good place to buy them off the Internet?

Re: Smoked tails

I love my tails... i left the white undone because the revers lights are terrrrrrrible when u smoke them... but im black on everything i have 2.5% windows, and i coated the **** outta my tails... but all that matters is they are visible from 100yds in the daytime and thats all the cops here asked for.

That's awesome! I had to start driving with my parking lights on when I had them just so i could avoid getting pulled over.
