Window tint

I'm getting my windows tinted later today, what percentage should I get on the rear window and the driver and passenger side windows? I want it as dark as possible without effecting my ability to see at night. I live in New York so I can tint the rear window as dark as I want.

Re: Window tint

Depends on where u live and what ur state tint laws are. But whoever is tinting your windows should know.

Re: Window tint

Just don't get them tinted too dark or you will be getting pulled over and hassled all the time.

Would 20% be dark enough for the rear? Or should I go darker

I went with 40% on the side windows, and 15% on the rear and quarter windows

I got 15% on the rear window and the quarter windows and got 40% on the front.. It looks pretty good, 40% is still not as dark as I wanted but it looks pretty good and it should be pretty safe from getting stopped

I had them professionally done, and yeah I think I'm getting the louvers also. Theres louvers on americanmuscle.com for $200 and there's ones on eBay for about $75, but who knows about the ones on eBays quality. Where are you getting your louvers from?

I paid 225 for mine. But it's 3M tint, it's the best tint around where I live wit lifetime warranty, won't fade or turn purpleish, doesn't have any mirror finish, and was professionally installed by award winning tint specialist in under 2 hrs.
