A question on rust.

Hello, everyone. I'm new here, and I've got a couple questions. I currently drive a '98 v6 which is getting swapped with a 94-95 5.0 setup. I recently got a GT 8.8 rear end installed, but it looks rusty. The gears and differential are perfect, however. Will this affect the performance or life of the rear end?

Alright. I was kinda worried that it would end up being replaced soon. It's all just surface rust, but still. Thanks.

Re: A question on rust.

YOU COULD PUT THAT AXLE HOUSING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN at it would take forever for that rust to eat through ...... if it bothers you scuff it up with sand paper or get it sand blasted and spray some paint on it ...

Aha. Are they that strong? And what about undercarriage rust? Will that destroy my ride?
