Dumb wax question

Okay, so I got my new stripes on the car. If it ever quits raining I'd like to wax it this weekend. Do I wax the stripes too, or go around them? They are Ford factory issue vinyl. Thanks.

Re: Dumb wax question

Go around them. You might try a little painters tape overlapping the edges of the stripes so you don't get any residue from the wax.

Re: Dumb wax question

Wax right up to within 1/2 an inch of the stripes just be careful not to build up wax residue in the crack of the stripe and the paint....

Okay, so now I'm wondering- is there anything that's good to use on the vinyl too extend it's life/ keep it looking fresh and clean/ get rid of dirt and fingerprints, etc?

Re: Dumb wax question

A little spray detailer and a microfiber will handle that.
