New Stripes Started... Decide which one

Ok guys As I stated yesterday, and wanted to start on these last night but had other... accidents happen so yeah it was postponed to this morning. Well here are the start of things, and keep yourselves posted on the stripes

Flat Black w/ Blue Accent Stripes.

Essentials to get started

Painters Paper, Painters Tape, and my favorite final prep product, SWIFFER!

PS. I am using Plastidip to determine which stripes I want to go with first before I buy the vinyl. I highly HIGHLY recommend using this method when determining stripes as the stuff just peels right off afterwards. I will have pictures to come as well.

***********EDIT 12:30PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME*************

Figured I would go ahead and get these out of the way while I am waitin lol

and back to the stripes.

WARNING<>WARNING<>WARNING
if you painters tape edges on plasti dip you MUST USE A BLADE to cut along the tape edges or you will just have to start all over again

drying still

peelin her back

***********EDIT 12:41PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME***********

ok ladies and gents... it is hard to tell because my secondary stripe is just in painters tape and two different shades of blue.. but anodized blue is my new accent,
(lugs, calipers, true blue headlights, fogs, reverse lights, neon lighting in the scoop and grills, and blue tinted mirrors) so the shade may be off for now, but for the scheme of things which set of stripes works best?

Started on the front bumper.

Figured ehh wtf might as well tie in the interior somehow... just letting the stripes fall into the interior

yeah it should... you have the quick reply spot right below the posts that show, and then if you want you can click go advanced to add and tweak your post. but usually quick post, or quote works just fine

Badass stripes bro. Did you buy the vinyl and cut them yourself? Im trying to find this super snake stripe but i want it to resch all the way to the bumper. Couldnt find it so i figured i would buy a roll and do it myself

Re: New Stripes Started... Decide which one

this is actually plastidip until I do it myself. and I will buy the vinyl and then do it. No more pics are coming of the car until springtime. too many small things people havent done before im going to do an unveiling when she is finished, post pictures, and then paypal $20 bucks to the first person to guess what all has been done to her.

It's basically rubber/plastic material in a can, its what they use on the ends of tools a lot of the time for a Grip spot.
I used it on my interior awhile back for small details.. I've never thought about using it on the exterior. Although I don't known I would have the skills or patients to do something like what topless has done.
So are the flat black stripes themselves plastidip or are those a stripe kit? And you just added the pin stripe blue along the edge? that's pretty damn good looking man.. Pretty killer works with your ride really well. You've got some patiences a buddy and I once painted a old station wagon Subaru with boss stripes and that took some time.. We just slapped it together I couldn't imagine going for a profession look... So what's next? You should do circuit board work and change all interior lighting to match the blue.

Yeah at the moment it is all plastidip, and I am actually holding off the interior as a surprise for everyone later. I gave a small hint of it, but the big picture is still to be revealed.

As for the lighting, every light on the car will eventually be blue before everything is said and done. I just got the headlight bulbs in, just got the housing started (as seen in the other thread) and next comes the foglights, revers lights, and then dash pieces.

I am also going to be doing a side rocker stripe with a bit of a changeup in it, and then some spice will be added around as well.

and blue anodized lugs are on the way.

Pretty damn nifty! Where do you get the time for these projects! Only custom work I've done was replace all LEDs in interior
