It slows down the sequence and makes it look better

I picked up mine from CDC (ClassicDesignConcepts.com) - it is a "plug and play" kit

I wonder if a typical LED turn signal relay would do the trick of slowing down the sequential tail lights? Because those relays are only like $3 on eBay. I'd try that before I spent $50 on the one from AM.
