Plasti dip pin stripe tips

With all the talk about plasti dip, I hav decided to do it for racing stripes. I know some people hav done this it it looks awesome.
Does anyone hav any tips to make this turn out good? As far as lining up the stripes, making look perfectly straight, how many coats, ect?

Re: Plasti dip pin stripe tips

the biggest thing to remember is that its not paint! when you go and your excited to peel the tape. dont. You MUST take a razor bblade and cut alone all your edges or the tape will just pull the plasti dip with it

Yeah... the stuff is more like a spray on vinyl... I've actually toyed with the idea of making cutouts for track days and making temp ones... honestly you might even see it fleck off at the jet wash... which makes it a bit temporary but you can also have a lot of fun with it... and I like the flat black look you get with it. There is a guy in town who does his rims but it gets really cold in winter and it often cracks.
