Plasti-dip your car... side job.. help needed

Ok guys and girls, I think I have one of those ideas that set the car apart from the rest, and this was 1 of two ideas I was going to keep to myself, but I want to get some ideas and help on this from anyone willing to put some insight on the situation.

I am pretty confident no car has tried this before so I am really nervous doing it, but hey trial and error are half the battles in life itself.

I want to frost the inside of some clear tail lights. The problem is anytime you look at white tail lights, you always find the ones that have way too many etchings/moldings on them to where the plastic isnt smooth. the only way to explain it is to show everyone. I hate ones that look like this (100% of the white tail lights out there)

vs the clear plastic like these

I am trying to get a hold of the manufacturer to see if they are able to send me a set up that has yet to be pieced together but I doubt that they have any they are still making, vs ones that are already built and ready to sell.

the plan is to frost the plastic like this

and then get some red bulbs and hopefully the frosted plastic will go well with the flat white stripes. worst case scenario is i am out 100 bucks and I tried. best case, is it turns out well and hell i had some fun along the way.

inputs please. this is completely new to me lol
