Fake A$$ cars ?!?!?

FYI .... If you drive a v6 STANG, don't put Saleen, Cobra, GT, or Roush stickers or badges on your car PLEASE. Do your self a load of embarrassment and quit doing it. If you can't afford the real deal then simply wait rather then applying a million stickers or logos because true STANG drivers can tell the difference. Thanks

Agree 110%! I drive a v6 and I know its a v6, if you mistake it for a GT because it has dual exhaust that's your fault. But never put GT badges on a v6 please....

Re: Fake A$$ cars ?!?!?

I guess I agree...

I bought a 2006 V6 off of a Bank Repo place that put GT badges on them to hype them up. People kept asking if it was a GT and I had to tell them over and over that it was a 6er. So I pulled them off right away.

I currently own a 2011 V6. I've changed my front end completely. GT front bumper with Boss 302 Grill and Chin Splitter as well as a Trufiber Venom hood. But I still have my V6 tri-bar emblems on the side to let people know it's a 6er.

The only reason why I got a V6 was that I couldn't pony up (Pun intended ) the extra $10k for a 5.0. But I get you about the badges.

I never said they won't real drivers bro. No need to explain why you don't have a V8 to me. We where all young at one time. I drove a POS 81 firebird trans am when I was your age so it's all good.

Ha, I agree. I'm all for putting the actual cobra bumpers and other body parts on, they look awesome. But, if you do, fill in the cobra in the back and don't put badges on it.

I hear ya, I hear ya... Only thing that says anything "Cobra" about my car is "Cobra" written on the Cobra rear bumper. D: Just haven't got to a shop yet... I never claim it to be a cobra, though. >.>;

I hate when I'm out chillin' with people at a "car meeting" (we don't have shows, just a bunch of people roll up at random places and we all hang out, and people call other people, etc, etc..) and people roll up and first thing is, "Whose yellow Cobra?!" I have to swallow my pride and say, "It's a GT, and it's mine." Hurts everytime. I sure wish I had a Cobra...

Amen.
Preach it brotha(s)!

I have 4.0 high Performance badges also, its so tempting to just rip (false) badging on cars, biggest. Pet. Peeve. EVER.

Agree. My biggest issue is that the sode badges on my mach 1 are almost identical to the v6 badges. I get kids all day tell me how slow my car is. I guess dual exhaust, a MACH 1 rear badge and a bigass shaker hood scoop mean nothing to them... I slaughter them anyways and when they catch up they wanna know.how many psi of boost my "big *** supercharger sticking through the hood is making, and how much naws I'm using." Honestly, its embarassing to be around people that stupid.

I can see puting gt badges or v6 badges on a cobra or a shelby even swapin front bumpers and spoilers to make it look less on the line then it is for the ultamit "sleeper" effect but to go the other way like cobra badges on a v6... Who do u think ur foolin? 1 race and ur the town tool every one gets a turn to flame how they "walked" a cobra its imbarissing to the whole line of cars but if dudes got say an ls1 and thinks he just rolled up on a 6er (cause of badges) and gets walked on well u get it if u dont theres no help for ya.

Other then badges and any part that "badges" the car (ie cobra in the rear cobra bumper) fly at er what ever u like the look of. put it on i like custome anything so long as its flow or mojo is there but like i said if the part its self says something ur cars not ether fill it or dont do it cause ur only defacing the rep of all that line of car (its called taste) not to mencion everybody with a real cobra or shelby has to put up with the d-bags that thought they smoked one (when it was not).

You know what really grinds my gears?!?
Stick on Bling! Triple fender vents, non functional scoops (with the exception of window louvers) chrome accents and stickers! The only way I would tag my ride with brand names is if I were being sponsored by that company via free/discounted parts. I get it when you wanna represent the brand of parts you buy and I've seen some people display the company's logo in a classy fashion but I also see people that pollute there ride with every sticker they can get their little hands on. Also, chrome letters... I've seen a ford escort with chrome letters that read "KICKASS EDITION" smdh.

Ya im with ya there to it plays on the trying to make ur car more then it is cord like buddy rolls up and u got what looks like a sponsered cobra but its a stock 6er like "walked on all day" then cobras rep drops cause some d-bag flapin about how he won against a sponsed highend in that line of car when it wasnt and then theres just the tastless stuff like the chroverdossing or contradicting decals like "hks turbo power" and "kb blown" decals on the same car just stupid and tasteless.

Why do kids do the things they do...they have to be cooler than the next guy...posers...be proud of what you have don't rebadge...unless it is legit...you don't get respect by being something your not...

as for stickers if you are representing said parts from company (i.e. Flowmasters, etc...) then I don't see a problem with it..

Personally, I'm not into "stickers" at all, any type of stickers. Just my personal preference. Any of you guys ever see any of those cars, that people have covered with all types of stickers?

What's funny is people concerned with things and cars that don't belong to them.. Really, who gives a damn what 'sticker' or 'badge' is on a car, do you drive said car? Do you have to answer the questions about said car? No, me either sooooo who gives a damn, really.

It'd be like talking down about ppl who use $$ instead of ss in the word ***, who cares just sayn

Will since i do drive a stang and am tired of ppl who drive 305 craparrows and firechickens flappin there gums about smokin "cobras"(6ers made to look like and badged like cobras) callin my ride a pos and having to stand up for mustang pride against themall the time. i do belive it effects everybody who drives that line of car there for they shouldnt do it its disgrasfull and desrespectfull to other drivers of the same line of car... Maybe u should care more about stuff like that it shows pride in ur ride man. but im not going to make u nor do i care if u do its, personal.

Im not really wasteing energy one it but when i see it i do try to make the owner feel bad enough they ether go by and rebadge a craparrow or the change it back its as simple as rolling up and asking them "who u think ur foolin 6er?" "ur rides a joke and ur bringing the rest of us down pls put the right badging on that thing b4 someone gets hurt" and drive off some times they actually think the badges mean there rides fast thats when i spankem lol its fun not really wasteing energy on it just a few words lol!
