Decklid Panel from AM is coming off!?

I just recently installed my Decklid panel on my 2010 Mustang GT & just recently i noticed that the adhesive take that comes with the Decklid is coming off. Only the top portion of the Decklid is coming off but the rest is ok. It's still on there enough to stay but I'm afraid it will come off completly. Any suggestions or anything I can do to resolve it? I was wondering if i should call AM to see if they can do anything about it!

Since it is a recent purchase I would call AM and see what they will do first.

If they won't cover it try this.

Here's a pic of it. The one I have is applied with an adhesive tape that comes with it but they also have one on AM that's magnetic

What's the difference between the tape they provide to this one? How would I even apply it if the other side of the tape is stuck on my cars paint? The only part that's coming off is where it's connected to the Decklid

Probably little to no difference in tapes.
Most manufacturers use the 3M tape.
You will have to remove the piece and re-tape the whole thing.
You should be able to remove the tape with a heat gun/hair dryer.
Paste wax is handy to remove the adhesive.
Clean the surfaces the tape sticks to with alcohol before you apply the tape.

It is the same 3 m tape they provide with the deck lid as they sell at auto zone I had to reapply my rear window quarter louvers and I would recommend u get the wider tape to reapply and ****** the car trunk lid in alcohol when it dries apply n let it sit for six hours

Just make sure it's very very clean. You can get a tape made for 200+ mph
It's also 3M

I had the same problem with my window louvers from AM. The tape from AM sucks!!! Go to autozone pep boys, where ever, and get OEM 3m tape. Don't buy the generic 3m tape because it is the same as the tape supplied by AM. Get the more expensive tape and you will be good.
