Duplicolor vinyl and fabric

I have an 83 and the interior is all red and faded. I'm planning on painting it all black. Does anyone have any tips for me? I have never done this before.

when i worked on mine i got vinyl spray on wax remover and wiped the piece down. then sprayed on some adhesion promoter and after that dried i did the duplicolor vinyl paint. make sure when you paint that you do light coats. ie the first coat should not completely cover the original color. i usually do 4-5 light coats per piece
