Plasti-Dip...everyone's favorite

Okay so I've done my rear decklid and valence, now is it possible to do it to a hood scoop? Also do they make a plasti dip gloss overlay?

Yes it is possible to do it to a hood scoop. And they sell it called glossifier but the material is very very sensitive to careful with it to not rub on it.

Start out with a light coat like a haze then get coats thicker do 4-5 coats. Be sure to spray it even

If you tape off the lip of a wheel, do you have to peel the tape off with every coat so it doesn't dry and try to peel off of the wheel? I'm doing mine later this week and I'm not sure about everything.

In the summer no, in the winter yes. I keep everything like a meat locker in the summer, and a sauna in the winter.

I'm doing my rims in the next week or two. Be careful if you plan on putting something on it to make it shine. I put Black Magic Tire Shine on my grill pony yesterday and I somehow wiped some of it straight off. Don't know if the tire shine had something in it that weakened the plastidip but the plastidip wasn't damaged before and there are no frayed edges as if the sponge tore at it. I'll post a pic in a minute.

The glossifier I'm getting is a type of plasti dip, you just clear coat it over the black. Actually comes with the bundle I ordered.

Ok I have a plasti dip problem! Doing stripes on my hood in flat black and the dip isn't coming out in even textures. As you can see the outside looks smooth and and clean and that's what I'm going for. Then it turns into a different texture and looks streaky. I definitely did the lines a lot more than the inside of the stripe could it be I didn't put enough of it? And can I just retape and add more coats or do I need to completely redo it?
