There is a hair....in my paint

I found a hair, not a scratch in my paint. It's between the clear and paint from factory. Btw public opinion but are my tires too big?

Another reason why chic's shouldn't paint cars! Lol, jk. Your tires are not too big, your wheels are too small!

At first I thought it was a giant scratch I got driving home from the dealer. I lived with it. The paint and body guy who did my striping said it was a hair where someone stepped into the paint booth. It's kinda brownish in color so it kinda makes sense.

I'm OCD on paint. Extremely. I see it everyday but at the same time, I'm used to it. And yes I hit 45k a few weeks ago. I bought the tester for the dealer at 22k.

If you "just rolled out of warranty" then I'd still go back. They should be able to fix it. There is such thing as making a customer happy.

True. The dealership is one of the best in the Birmingham area. They cut out a lot of crap with the numbers. Js. Would they frown upon the paint, saying it was the body shop's fault. (dealer is 2 hours away)

Yes. I thought it was from coming home from the dealer and a rock hit the side. But it is smooth to the touch. It's between the clear and the paint.

Thats not a hair!!

One of the bristles came off the brush when the painter was painting your car.

Re: There is a hair....in my paint

I'll tell ya White lightning,

Your car is absolutely great looking. I really doubt anybody would ever notice a hair in the paint.

If I were you I would leave it there. If your car ever gets stolen you can always identify it by that single hair. Just like CSI

I'll be honest it would drive me insane. I'm way too OCD. I'd probably notice.

Re: There is a hair....in my paint

The big problem is that they would have to repaint the whole panel to do it properly, If they just tried to sand off the hair and touch it up you would see where they feathered the repair in.(Not right away) It would be fine for a year or two then you would start seelng the repair. Repainting the whole panel will prevent that but the painter will have to be very good at his/her job and do it right.

I'd just let it alone.

I've let it be since last October, so why not till it's paid off? Plus i just spent 1k on the new paint job an striping. For a 19 year old that helps sell real estate...I'm broke for mods at the moment lol

tires: yes they are to big, the sidewall is to high an makes the car look off due to that. That may be factory but that doesnt change how it looks. My 12 v6 is the same way

buy taller rims at least 20s and you will be ok.

Good luck on 20's if it didn't come with it then don't put it on it. What tires are on your v6? I had bfgoodrich radial t/a which was crap. These ride like a gushy suv tire. Quite nice. I think Also my bfg were bald and then these are brand new. Also one step higher. I like the performance of these. Finally a straight answer, thanks.
