A good wax, only wax. Never a metal or chrome cleaner. I use mothers california gold cleaner wax. It's a true carnuba wax. Hi gloss, very good protection, lasts a long time.

Re: aluminum rims

since its clear coated its just like the paint, if its powerdercoated (they do make a clear powdercoat) then I am not sure.

Question Cleaning stock polished aluminums rims

I just got a Mustang with the Pony package which has the 18" polished aluminum rims. Are these clear coated? I bought some Mothers aluminum rim cleaner when I get a chance to wax my car in a couple of weeks. Will this hurt the rims? It says it's safe for all aluminum rims and mine are not painted.

Thanks in advance.
