vinyl removal

Anyone have any suggestions on getting off really old stripes? Mine are really cracked and look terrible.

A heat gun works well. However!!... Put it on the lowest setting and be super careful. Move fast and don't keep in in one place at all. It does not take much heat to get them off. (if your wondering) A blow dryer is not hot enough. The heat gun can ruin your paint if your not careful. Can't stress that enough.

Alright thanks, ill have to ask around if anyone has one I can use. What do I use to get them off once heated? Do I just peel them off?

Ya, they will peel right off. It's best to have two people. One person peeling while the other heats up the vinyl. You have to peel it while it's warm. It takes a little practice. Once you figure out how much heat to have, it comes off in big chunks.

I removed my mustang stripes going down the side of my car. I just used a straight razor to pick up a corner and in one smooth motion peeled it off.

I thought about that at first but there are so many cracks it would take forever. I'm just going to try the heat gun method
