Wash clay wash polish wax? How do you detail?

Sounds about right. Im not sure that you need to wash it again after clay bar but I am sure it couldnt hurt. Thats how I did mine. Wash, clay then wax.

I'm lazy. Washed (didn't dry)... Clay while wet (in fact technically washing still) while using the detail spray... Finish washing... Dry... Polish (random orbital) if needed (sometimes I do this instead of clay bar)... Final wipe down with detailer spray... Wax.
