Carbon Fiber

Has anyone put a Carbon Fiber dash overlay kit in their car? Do you think its cheesy? If you have one, just wondering where you got it from and if the installation was easy or not? Maybe some pics?

I wish they would have real CF replacement kits. Not overlays. You can see thy sit on top. They do look good, but clearly not as good as something made like OEM parts. I got a kit like the mustang kit for my dads 300ZX. Changed the look, but I just didn't like the raised look on the surfaces. He loved it though.

Nope, don't have one because IMHO they do look cheesy. I've seen some pictures of interior pieces that have been hydro-dipped with a carbon fiber pattern and I think they look a lot better.

I don't think they've come out with CF replacments for the 2010+ Mustangs yet, at least I haven't been able to find any. I did a Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap and I love it. Much more affordable and it definitely doesn't look cheesy or cheap.

I've been using eBay and haven't had any trouble. Doubt it's 3m brand but its just a sticky as any 3m brand I've had and I doubt the carbon fiber will fade
[URL]Look at this on eBay:

12" x 50" 30cm x 127cm 3D Texture CARBON FIBER Wrap VINYL Decal Sheet Sticker[Black]

http://bit.ly/Weo8JM

May have to copy and paste . This is where I got some shipping is slow from china but its cheap. Tool about a week and a half to get the item .
You may find. A better deal on ebay

Was it very hard? I've seen several people do this to pieces and it looks good everytime. I've heard the heat really helps it mold well
