5.0 Overlay

So I ordered an overlay for the 5.0 on the side of my car. I meant to order the carbon fiber one, but accidentally received the matte black one. I've been trying to give my car the "blacked out" look, so I thought making that mistake wasn't bad after all. My boyfriend is having a fit saying that I should leave it the way it is, it stands out better. What do you guys think? Original or Matte Black?

If you black out the 5.0 you won't stop there. You will want to black out the rest of the Pony. It's an addiction, it sucks to have it. LOL I think if you use these overlays and decide that you like the 5.0 black you need to go ahead and paint them.

Blackout everything but the 5.0, lugnuts, etc. It will stick out, but look good doing so.

I think it would look good on yours, but not on my black GT. I'll probably just return them

Hell no man! The F-in hoods curve is not right. It doesn't line up for ****! I've contacted the supplier VIS and they blamed shipping saying it must have gotten warped. Which is total bs. I'm gonna be swapping it out for a Seibon cf hood later. $600 down the drain.

I don't know. The cf hood by trufiber is $1,500! Siebon's is fiberglass and is only $700. It sucks because I can't do anything with this one. I had it over a month before installing it so I'm stuck with it and nobody is interested in buying it locally because it won't fit right.

For my dad's 300zx, I got him a Siebon CF hood about 5 years ago... First one had bubbles bad.... Took a month to get one that was flawless. Then he got into a wreck(figures)... Took two more tries to get a good hood from them. Not sure if that helps you or not...
