Just go oem gray. Dark grey or silver mustangs look better than black because when they get dirty they hide it A LOT better.

Just normal not bring washed.

It looks killer cleaned up but still good when it's not. And in the sun it's amazing. Love this color.

Maaco is not a bad place to get your car painted. Just remember you get what you pay for. So that being said, you have to wonder how the paint is going to look in two years when you are looking to sell.

Maaco is a "get them in the door" kind of company. They will try and up sell you. IMO paint is not something you want to skimp on. A cheap paint job can be a headache before you know it. Then the price goes up exponentially to fix it and do it right.

A good quality paint job starts at around $3,000 start adding in under hood, door jambs, and under trunk, for a color swap... You'll drop 4-5 grand. Trust me, I used to do this for a living.

That was another question I won't be able to paint the door jams because it won't be part of the sale. Would it look really lame and indecent if my red is in the door jams with white on the outside? Because if it looked semi cool I could just pretend like I want it that way instead of my friends just thinking I'm cheap haha

IMO I think it looks cheap I've never like that. But like I said that's my opinion. And it's like they say opinions are like a-holes every one has one. LoL

It is something that can be done later. It will cost more because of all the masking and overspray clean up. It might be kinds cool if you decided to put red stripes on. I'm guessing the fact that you don't like red will nix that as an option though.

IMO stangs look the cleanest and the sharpest in white. Every color has its good points and bad. Wish I could have a stang in every color.

+1..... dings, dents and flaws are also hardest to see on white paint that's why most work trucks u see r white

Me too! That's why it's such a hard choice they all look sooo good and it's unfair to be limited to one mustang haha

If they are not doing a full color swap ie door jams and every thing else you will be sorry.

I am sorry to post this now, but I just saw your post. I would have went with the same color and maybe added a little extra flake and put silver stripes on it. You would have had one really good looking ride unlike anyone else

Black is the cheapest color. It comes premixed and you can get it cheap. As far as clean, it's no worse than some other colors. Just shows up everything.

Well what did you decide? And I don't see how they are painting it for 900.00

I am painting mine myself right now and just the supplies are going to run me close to a grand. Paint is over 425.00 by its self.
I just hope you don't regret not going back with red and putting stripes on it. The stripes will change the whole look and if you add some flake to the red it will look great. My brother did that to his 02 convertible and it does not look like the same car.
Planning on priming mine this Sunday will post pics.

I decided on white. I'm picking it up today at 4. So excited to see the final result I'll make sure to post pics and I bought 2 gt stripe stickers for my car and I brought it in to a place to put it on and they said my paint was so faded the stripes would draw more attention to the faded paint. So I'm returning the white stripes this week since they were $200

I'm just excited to see how it looks a year or 2 down the road because I personally think it looks just as good as a $4,000 paint job. But what really matters is if it holds up well. But thanks to you I didn't make the mistake of going black and i am really pleased with the white on tan it doesn't look weird at all
