Hey guys I got 89 gt it needs lots of tlc, when your doing body work on it and fit paint should you remove body kit

It's a matter of opinion and how much you are willing to spend. IMO,absolutely. I would remove everything.

Yes always remove everything that you can. See my threads on the mustang make over. I took my 03 vert apart to do it. It is costing me about 1500.00 to paint mine but I did all the body work and my brother painted it for me.

It probably depends on the quality you want it to look like. When you do take it off everything behind and in the cracks all get painted. When you don't you still have all the faded or off colored paint behind all those parts. Just simpler to take everything off and do it all. Also makes it a whole lot easier to paint the bottom of bumpers rockers etc
