I agree, the theme is cluttered and overwhelming. I would tone it down with the roof and spoiler.

Pay attention to detail. Clean all of the nooks and crannies of the door jambs, hood, under the hood, trunk and gas cap. you'd be surprised on how many people don't do this. Also if you have access to a lift I would suggest once or twice a year to get it up on it and detail the crap out of the bottom of your car. That extra mile will get you points and the judges notice. Clean the inside of your wheels as well. I have no show car but I am OCD about how I clean my car and if you get into the routine it takes less time when the show comes up to prep it. Hope some of these tips help! When's the next show?

Love the way your car looks! And the theme as well! But yeah idk something about the blue is too much I think it's the roof.. I would take the roof blue and spoiler blue off and put the blue on the decklid

I was just a member of a judging committee at a Fun Ford Weekend Car Show. The leader of the committee was a 'certified' Mustang Club of America judge. She pointed out so many areas that they judge on that I never would have noticed. The first and foremost item is cleanliness. They look at EVERY little nook and cranny. Then they look for slight damage that may have been obviously ignored, such as torn tape on wiring looms. They really are looking at the show prep, rather than the car itself.
It really made me embarrassed about my car- I thought it was clean....

What was your competition? The blue is BAM!!!! Don't know if it takes time to grow on someone or what but the judges first reaction would more than likely be "too much blue and the 302 badges seem off centered."

If judges loved it at your previous show then why didn't you place? Do you have pics of the placed cars by chance you could share?

Not turning it into a bashing thread at all. I wanted to know who the competition was. It's a car show which to me means competition. You said judges love it so forgive me if i found that statement in conflict with your opening post. You are way too sensitive, "Frankie says relax." I've seen your threads and what others have said and have noticed that you get a tad butt hurt at times when someone gives you their honest opinion of your blue themed car.

I agree. You were not out of line at all. It seems like OP misunderstood or is a little over sensitive, which is totally ok its his car, but I think his last response was a little out of line. Just my .02

On the other note I would say remove either the hood decal or the roof decal. It has a smidge too much blue.

Well new hood is going to be here its shipping end of month so what I plan on doing is taking off roof blue , putting two small stripes of blue te hood scoops sides and changing my badges to 5.0 supercharged badges and my bad if I'm cranky long day at work had a guy crash into my patrol car ....

One thing that will definitely boost your chances is customize your engine bay there is so many 5.0 stock bays that gets boring after while seen one seem them all

What everyone said remove some of the blue. I suggest just adding small accents of blue and don't over do it. That's a difficult color combination to pull.

+1. It seems too much going on, on the car but no flow to bring it all together IMHO
