Best looking stripes on black?

Matte Black-

Silver-

Blue-

Red-

White-

It's hard to give contrast to a black car. For example, if you've got a gray or blue Stang, black accents look awesome. If you've got a white or silver car, blue or black accents are nice. Red, go with black or silver accents. But if you've got a black Stang, how can you make it stand out?

Agreed I've been debating this since I got my car and also can't decide which stripes to get.

And most popular seems to be matte black. But I was thinking red.

If you are taking a poll, my vote is for the matte black. The nice thing is, you can apply Plasti-Dip stripes in black first, and see what you think. If you don't like the look, just peel 'em off.

You opted for the black car bc you wanted the stealth, mysterious look. So I think you should think twice about the loud colors i.e. lime green and grabber blue. For black car, either nothing or one of the 50 shades of grey

LOL! Well, how I came about my Stang was quite unexpected. Drive my 04 F150 in with a motor problem, and learned I either needed $5k+ for a new motor, or a new vehicle. Being a life long mustang fan, I felt the need to want a Stang again. The 2014's were already on the lot with lots of color choices. Grabber blue being my first choice, Deep Impact blue my second, Sterling gray and black respectively. Problem was, the 2014's were marked high, with no incentives from Ford.

Dealer had 3 2013's left on the lot. 2 Black GT's and 1 Red. The 2013's had 0% financing, $2500 cash back too, plus the dealer already had them marked down to $32,000 and change ('14s were $34,000). So based on what I could afford, I went with the '13, because I wouldn't be in the hole as much rolling it off the lot as opposed to the '14s. And getting 0% financing was huge.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Pony and I love the black color. Wasn't my first choice, but hey, a pony is a pony. I don't plan on putting loud colors on it. Maybe matte black stripes or dark gray. I figure once I make Captain at my airline, I'll keep by Black Stang, but go find a 2013 Shelby GT500 in grabber blue. That's my garage dream car.

I don't think it would look out of place, they're basically the same body style except for the grill. I don't think it would look bad though on a gt. most people wouldn't know the difference between a shelby and a gt anyway

I like the black with flat black stripes simply because from a distance some thinks it's plain black but they see the detail up close and admire. Also they look so sick after you wash and wax, that gloss just shines out and the flat stays kool and crisp...
