First Time Claybar Detail

I kept hearing about people using clay on their cars to help clean up the look and take off some of the build up. So, I bought detail lubrication and some clay. I spent about 2 hours "claying" the car and WOW....This is the best any of my cars have ever looked. Those of you who haven't clayed your car, do it this weekend! I highly suggest it.

Idk if i do it wrong or what, i usually never get much dirt on my clay when i use it. Maybe i wax my car enough that it doesn't stick to my paint.

I didn't have much faith in the clay at first, but when I was finished it really looked good. $22 dollar clay kit....Can't go wrong with that.

I live about 30 minutes west of Chicago. (Near Schaumburg)

Very cool! Ya really the only " negative " is time spent on the whole car, but end result is awesome.
I'm up that way quite often

Cool to see a bunch of you guys from the Chicago suburbs on here. My next step after 4.10 gears is figuring out what to drive in the winter....Ha.

I'm in the same boat as you man. I bought my GT in January, and got to drive it a bit last winter, But the car does not handle at ALL. So i'm going to store it and get a beater i can play bumper cars with. Excited to work on it while it's parked though.
