Vinyl stripes removal

I'm interested in buying an 06 GT.. It's black and has white racing stripes that are vinyl.. It looks nice with the stripes but it's not really my style.. How hard is it to remove them.. They aren't factory stripes either btw.. Will it look the cars paint messed up after?

I bought a 12 V6 Premium with striped on the bottom like bottom of the door panel and fenders. One part was really messed up so the dealership replaced them. The guy said it is really hard to do on your own and could mess the paint up. That being said, I don't know if that's because he wanted me to pay the dealership out the butt if I need others replaced in the future. If they aren't factory I would research what adhesive they've used

Yeah they aren't factory stripes.. I'm just more worried they will ruin the paint when coming off or leave bad residue on there

1 - there is no ruining of paint with vinyl
2 - residue can be cleaned with goo gone or sticker remover (if it leaves any)
3 - I took rocker stripes off my 2001 v6 (factory stripes) aka 13 year old vinyl and there was no fading or color difference.. Used a little rubbing compound to shine the clear coat because under the vinyl it had no scratches..

I would make sure they are vinyl and what adhesive is used. Goo gone nay not be enough if it's heavy duty stuff.

I took a razor and lifted up the corner and it came right off with no problems.
