Anyone who owns a black stang knows the challenges associated with keeping the finish pristine and dust free.
Regardless of how much you seem to clean it, simply driving a block seems to attract dust and any stray shower leaves water spots.
I've tried many waxes / sealants.... Meguire's Tech Wax 2.0 (sealant) being my favorite for black cars. Many produce stunning results but can't seem to alleviate the issues above.
Last weekend, I tried a new product. The Black Wax from Meguire's.
I was a bit skeptical as it comes in a tube... I'm a liquid or old school paste guy. Things in tubes are usually for brushing my teeth.
Anyway. Punctured the tube... And a grayish paste is extruded. Put a dab on a microfiber applicator and began to apply. Not hard to apply... I still apply with some pressure in a small circular method. Habit. Did the entire car and wheels taking care not to hit plastic.
By the time I was done applying it, the area I started already was hazing and dry.
Removal was as easy as any wax I've used. Not much effort.
The finish was flawless. Deeper than tech wax in my option.
But here is the real benefit. It seems to be repelling dust after a week. Especially on the bumper/trunk deck lid area.
And after a number of heavy rains (with epic water beading) where my car sat in direct sunlight after the storm, not a single water spot. That is something I've yet to experience before.
Well see how long it holds up in the torrential downpours here in GA, but if it lasts 2 months or so, I'll be happy as that is about how long I'd go with the tech wax 2.0.
