Austin Area Body Shop

So the unthinkable has happened...my baby Belle got dinged up! The folks who did it have insurance and were awesome enough to leave a note, but my rear bumper looks like this:

I'm thinking of taking it back to the body shop at the dealership, but figured I'd cast a line to see what folks smarter than I thought. Thanks for your suggestions in advance!

Dealership bodyshops are generally not great. There are exceptions, but this is the common theme.

That said - this is definitely the wrong section.

My apologies for violating etiquette! I searched for other sections to post a thread, but nothing was instinctive (maybe because I'm browsing from my phone). Thanks for taking the time to offer up some wisdom!!!

AutoNation Ford in Fort Worth has a large collision center that is separate from their five dealerships. They do awesome work. Half their guys are custom types. There is always some sort of custom mod job in their shop. When I had work done there, they let me look around at some of their work before I committed to them. They probably have something similar in Austin.

Personally, I've dealt with the dealers body shop in Corpus Christi twice and both times I was left feeling screwed over. Poor quality at dealer prices. I'm not sure about the dealers in Austin. I would shop around and check online reviews if the shop has any.

Nova Body Shop on North Lamar just north of Research is good. I've used them a few times. The owner even had my Mach 1 hood decal put on my Mach free of charge, I just supplied the decal.
