Question 1st Car Show!!

So, my wife's company is having their 1st car show, and it'll be my first time entering. Aside from detailing my Baby inside and out, what else do I need to do, or need to know?

Help a brother out!

Clean it like you never cleaned it before. Prep for me for a car show takes at least 8 hours usually 2 days! Good luck!

Hey, thanks! There's no prize, but it gives me a chance to show her off! She's totally stock, so it also gives me a chance to see what mods I want to make.

So, while scrubbing out the engine bay today, I had a little epiphany. A Piff.

Right now, I can't afford new dressed-up valve covers, but had to do something to dress things up under the hood. So, I grabbed my Mother's Aluminum & Wheel Polish, and buffed some into the stock valve cover. They look FABULOUS now!

The valve covers look real good. Are you entering a mustang specific car show ?

Thanks! Hell, I may not need to get new covers now, since the polished aluminum looks so sharp.

The show is for the employees of my wife's company, and isn't specific to any make/model. I know there'll be a couple of old roadsters, and I'm betting a Camaro or 2. Would love to see some classic Pony's too.

I survived the car show! I got lucky, and even got a shady spot.

There were about 25 cars, including the usual assortment of Camaro's and Chevelle's. 5 Mustangs, including mine, though mine was the only newer one.

It was a great time. with good folks. I got a LOT of compliments, especially from the ladies. And, I learned a lot of good stuff from more seasoned guys.

Perhaps the best thing was that, while walking around with my wife, SHE was suggesting modifications based on other cars. That'll make it easier to convince her when the credit card has to come out!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics. The first is my Baby, and the second was my choice for Best in Show, a '68 GT/CS.
