Should i worry?

Got a new car with expensive paint job. I am carrying only liability ad uninsured motors now. I don't want my car hit or scratched so I park it far. What could I do if it was hit or scratched by someone in a stores parking lot. Does comprehensive take affect of the custom paint jobs price or what. What could I do if I don't have comprehensive am I screwed? Am I being paranoid by parking the farthest down lol. Thanks!

You need to talk to your agent and get a total explanation of what you are covered for and what covers what. You'd hate to find out after it's too late.

Remember that there is a deductible with comprehensive coverage that is usually higher than the average door ding costs to repair. Your car may be an exception to that rule though. Go ask a body shop what they would charge to fix a ding on your car. That will give you an idea if the comp coverage is worth it. Lots of other stuff can happen to a car also. For instance, it could roll down your driveway and almost end up in the creek. Lol. You'll just have to weigh the pros and cons. I do the same thing, park defensively, and I still got a nasty door ding a while back. Ive decided that if I don't want anything to happen to my car, I should just never drive it...

Lol hopefully if my park goes out in this one the car deserves to be in the creek. I'll have to get the exact paint code for this car from the guy. I'm parking way far even making my go walk lol. With one exception at Walmart I had to park beside a black 350z and set my phone on camera to see if they would look at my car and scratch it lol

Always park next to cars that cost more than yours. That really works. The deductibles on your coverage is up to you but it is in direct relationship to your premium costs.

Lol. I'm always looking for the most strategic spot to park. Like the end of the row where you only have a car parked to the left of you, hoping, praying that they dont have a passenger. Or next to a handicap spot. Always looking for the best odds...

Lol. Yeah I love parking next to other nice cars lol. There was a black 350z upfront at Walmart and I was gonna park in back till I saw that one and I was like why not. Thinking bout putting recording devices around cars to see what goes on. Sometimes I don't even think I'd wanna know what happens when I'm not around

Chameleon/Flip flop paint is gonna be hard to spot paint just like pearl. Some painter won't even take that repair on.

Not only check with your agent, make sure you mention that this is a Custom Paint job. The insurance may be higher but if you don't tell them and have an accident, they won't cover it.
