So I've never put a vinyl on a car before & I'm thinking of getting some but I wanna know if I ever want to take it off how hard will it be & will it leave anything behind that can't be cleaned off? Also will I have to take any special precautions when washing/waxing (the spray kind). I'm thinking of putting some on the body & windows so the questions apply to both! Haha. Thanks.

easy to apply just use soapy water to let you place it before it sets up. as for removal...if it's cheap vinyl it can be a bear to remove even with a heat gun and industrial adhesive remover...if it's good vinyl a hairdryer and a few passes of heat will be enough to let it peel off easily. my has marks were cut from a roll of 3m so good stuff...after 2 years of service i peeled them off no issues and no residue left (if any is left just remove with goo gone or quick detailer)...of course you'll have paint fade issues which clearly show where vinyls were if they are on there for a long time. like now i have ghosted hashmarks...which i'm ok with it's kind of a cool affect

+1 don't be scared of the fading tho my rocker panel stripes we're 12 years old and pealed of just fine with no fading. The paint was in better shape underneath aka no scratches but rubbing compound took car of that..

What about putting it on the windows? Is that a better place? What pros & cons are there to putting it on the window vs the body?
