Road Wrap anybody

Morning All

Has anybody ever tried this product? I have been searching high and low for fast apply and removable clear tape to put on my car for road trips or to run to a show then remove at the show and reapply when I leave the show. This seems like the ticket. Instructions & Tips*:*BuyRoadWrap.com

Let us know how they work. The love bugs are about to kill me in Texas. Thankfully I believe that their "season" is over, but next year I'll definitely look into this if it works for you.

The weather was crappy last week so I did not take the Shelby. I am going to hold off until next spring to put it on because it is going into storage in the next week or so. The only change I know I would make is I would buy the 6 inch wide stuff instead of the 18 inch wide. This stuff is for temporary use for road trips or driving with the Love Bugs. At our Mustang clubs all Mustang show there was a guy there that just taped up the front of his car to drive to the show and then he removed it after he got there. When he was leaving he retaped the front and took off. He did not take his time so it didn't look so good. I am sure if you take your time it will look pretty good for what it is and does. If anybody else tries this let us know.

I know this is an old thread but here is the report so far. I bought the 18 inch wide roll. I used it this last weekend to head to Woodward Dream Cruise.

1 18 inches is to wide for the front of a Mustang (would work great on front end of a car trailer.

2 Did not conform to the front end very well looked like crap

3 It did it's job kept the bugs and rock chips away

4 Came off easy did not bother the stripes

5 Left a residue on the paint (I think this was cause by it not conforming well)

6 Cleaned off easy except for one spot that looks like a rub spot on the paint I will polish it tonight to see how hard it is to clean off and what is the best way to remove it.

7 I am going to cut the roll using a razor blade into 3 inch wide rolls to see if I can make it fit and conform better will report back then

Later

That looks like ****. You might as well have used painters tape. Would have looked better lol. It looks like someone vandalized your car with plastic wrap.

They sell this as a product? And make money? Sheesh...

The problem was not the product it was the width I choose it did not conform to the front of the car correctly. I am going to cut it into 3 inch width so it will conform better, and go on easier. After I cut it into smaller widths I will try it again. The adhesive that was left on the car cleaned up with a little polish. I thought about painters tape for the trip to Detroit but I already had this so I figured I would give it a shot.

I will have to say cost and dry time. this stuff is 30 or so for a 100 foot roll if I cut it into 3 inch rolls I get 600 feet to use so the cost is way low.

Be very careful with road wrap on vinyl stripes. It marred my hood stripe on a short trip. It's great on painted surfaces and across lights.
Their rug wrap is awesome.

I recently tried a spray on product and had very good results.

Griot's Garage 10953 Bug Barricade - 22 oz.

It washes off with water so in the rain it would be useless. good stuff..
