TruCarbon Hood

Hello All,

I have a 2006 GT with Tokico D-Spec Struts and a Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace. I am interested in the TruCarbon A61 hood, so I emailed Trucarbon to make sure that the hood would clear the strut tower brace. Their response was that 'it should' but also that my struts may interfere with the hood. When I asked for a more definitive response, they directed me to the forums, so here I am. has anyone purchased an A61 or A53 hood from Trucarbon or Trufiber that has Tokico D-specs and a Boss 302 Strut Tower brace? Thank you

Can't answer your question. But that seems to be some piss poor service if they can't answer a question or try to work it out. I'd probably look elsewhere. I see a red flag with their answer.

Thank you Aggiesrok. I was thinking the same thing. It is kind of a bummer because I really like the styling of the A61 hood, but the response from the manufacturer really disappointed me.

Thank you Blown05. I figured as much, I guess more than anything I was just disappointed in their service. I asked what I thought would be a pretty easy technical question and was basically told to go ask someone else. With that being said, I will probably still end up getting this hood. From what i've heard, the quality of Trucarbon hoods is pretty damn good.

If the hood doesn't fit I'd take it off your hands depending on your location and price lol

Good to know! I am in the process of re-building the ol' Mustang Slush fund. Once I get enough stashed away to pay for the hood and the paint, I will post pictures. If it doesn't fit, I will certainly be in touch haha
