Wax for 2014 Black Daily Driver

Hey Guys,

I have been reading a lot on this forum about waxes and polishes, but they all seem to be for shows and are very time consuming. Anyone have advice for someone who doesnt have time to wax their car very much. I just want to be able to protect my black paint from the elements. I work 7 days a week so its very difficult to find 6 hours to take care of her. Also how often would i have to do this method? Thanks so much guys!

I've got two black Stangs, and on the gloss one I've used hard shell from turtle wax. I do it about once a month, and I've had no problems with it. Takes me maybe an hour to do. However, she is not a show car, nor was the paint in great shape when i got her. But I do get a lot of compliments of how shiny she is

There's TONS of opinions and choices on this, so choose what works for you. But I recommend you keep it simple.

Turtle Wax Ice. Easy to apply, easy to wipe off. Great shine. You may have to apply mor often than some waxes, but the ease of use makes up for this.

I don't have a new generation, but i do have a black car. So, what is easiest with the best results for me is, turtle wax ice wash, then i've been using tech wax 2.0 i think it is. It's a liquid you wipe over the whole car, then by the time you finish, it's ready to be wiped off. comes off easy, gives it a great shine, and smells pretty good too.
