Convertible top stained after treating - how to fix?

I cleaned and treated my convertible top over the weekend with 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. I thought I'd followed the directions, but clearly screwed something up because the next day the top was covered in dark water stain-like stains and drips. Not sure how to fix this – would something like RaggTopp cleaner work to remove the fabric guard so I can reapply it? Thanks for any advice.
