Rust removal help

Just removed my Airaid CAI and noticed it rubbed through the paint in the engine bay of my 3.7. Rust is starting to show up. Any suggestions on removing surface rust without damaging the paint further? Ideally I'd like to avoid using abrasives. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Kill it with fire.

Jk.
I believe autozone or pepboys etc, have rust remover.
I would suggest that, then touch up pen it, then use a small rubber piece between the CAI and the wall next time!

Haha thanks! I'll go find my torch! I had a strip of blue painters tape on that area but I think you're right something more durable would have been better. (Have a Steeda CAI installed now so that spot should be ok once I get the surface rust squared away). I'll check out pep boys or aurozone and see what they offer. Thanks!
