Ok so I just bought this new 2013 mustang v6 with the premium performance package. It has everything in it, leather interior, 21 inch rims, etc. But when I asked the guy at the dealership about these side lights, he didn't know what I was talking about. I have nothing aftermarket on my car.... So does anybody else have these? I love them but I haven't seen another mustang with them

Those come with a package or option. I remember reading about them in Ford's employee magazine, I believe it's Ford One (or something like that). I thought those were out since the 2012 year, but I almost never hear or read about them.

Neat, they sounded kind of lame/gimmicky when I heard about them, but they look good

Those are called puddle lights (presumably so you can see if you are about to step in a puddle when getting out.) The factory setup can be added but I believe you have to swap-out your entire side mirror assembly to do it - not cheap. Alternatively, you can add an aftermarket kit that is inexpensive but: (a) isn't the same image (b) projects from the bottom of the doors rather than the mirrors (c) likely won't last as long because it is made of cheap Chinese stuff (d) is a real pain in the *** to wire-up if the door doesn't already have the circuit - my '11 doesn't. I was going to do the second route myself but found the wiring effort outweighed the benefit to me so shelved the project.

Yea, you can get them on Ebay. If you know how to use a circular drill bit, know how to remove a mirror, can use a sealant, and know how to find the positive wire on the electronic door actuator. You can do it. I would run it to a uncontinuous fuse, because they look cool at stop lights.

Yep. Those are exactly the ones I have on my shelf. What year is your car and how did you get the circuit run to the door? The Molex connector was the last hurdle I couldn't seem to clear.

I have a 2012. I ran the wires up to the map lights.

How did you get the wires from the map lights (inside the car) out to the door? I was never able to get the wires routed through the black rubber tube that runs the wires to the door.
